CAPTAIN: Paul Clarke, Australia
Growing up in Australia and Bermuda Paul spent most of his youth on the water sailing competitively taking part in some of the biggest sailing regattas in the world. In 2002 Paul joined the yachting industry as a Bosun on a 50m Perini Navi sailing yacht and decided yachting is where he wanted to be. Working hard over the next few years Paul got his first captains position in 2007 and has been the captain on many different yachts from the 130’ Westport Redemption to the 155’ Perini Navi sailing yacht Helios. When Paul isn’t at work he is still out on the water Spearfishing and when the wind is blowing kite surfing. |
CHIEF STEWARDESS: Maxine Robert, South Africa
Originally hailing from Durban, South Africa Maxine joined the yachting industry in 2013 after completing her business and psychology degree at the university of Cape Town. Growing up along the coast lines of South Africa as well as Mauritius, Max has always been a true water baby, she surfed professionally while in school, and is out kite surfing when ever the wind is pumping. Max has been a chief stew for 4 years now, working on many well known high class charter yachts. With Max’s warm and bubbly personality you are bound to have a wonderful time and feel right at home onboard M/Y Loon. |
CHIEF OFFICER: Byron Dobson, New Zealand
Byron joins us from New Zealand and has been working in the yachting industry for over 7 years. Yachting has bought him all over the world, cruising as far North as Alaska and as far South as Panama. In between he has spent extensive time in the Caribbean, Eastern Canada and the Mediterranean. In his spare time Byron likes to explore new destinations in search of the best spots for surfing and kite surfing whilst experiencing new cultures along the way. |

BOSUN: Tyler Viljoin, South Africa
Tyler is from a small beach town on the East coast...East coast of South Africa that is! Tyler grew up in East London, South Africa where he developed his love of the sea and all things encompassing. Tyler is a really keen surfer who loves to scuba dive and anything that can take him on an adventure or lead to a good old story! |
DECKHAND: Kieren, Cook Islands, New Zealand
Kieran joins us from the Cook Islands and has been working in the yachting industry since September 2017. New to the industry he started off in the South of France, cruising as far as the Caribbean. In his spare time, Kieran likes to stay active being a Personal Trainer. Either finding some waves to do some body surfing or going for a workout. |
SECOND STEWARDESS: Fiona Lewis, England
Fiona is originally from the north of England where she completed her sport and exercise science degree. After graduating she became a freelance personal trainer and worked as an instructor of fitness, for a well known franchise in the UK. Fiona then wanted to branch out to experience the yachting industry where she joined her first boat three years ago as a stewardess/personal trainer. Wishing to seek out even more travels and thrills, Fiona joined two more boats before joining M/Y loon. Her passion for travel and hospitality makes her an excellent addition to the team. |
STEWARDESS: Lindsay Biffen, South Africa
Lindsay joined the yachting industry in 2017 to pursue her dream of living a life at sea. She is originally from Zimbabwe however spent most of her childhood living on the coast line of South Africa. This is were her love for the ocean grew. She loves scuba diving, surfing and fishing and very passionate about nature. Working on the yachts has been such an adventure for her, she loves the opportunities it gives her to meet new people and travel to remote destinations. With Lindsays bubbly and energetic personality she loves a good chat, give her the opportunity she'll talk your ear off.
